To add a point load take your truss into iDesign.
From the vertical toolbar select the loading icon: 
Next, select the add a point load icon:
From the Concentrated Loads tab select the required options.
LL=Live load
TL= Total load
Live load + Dead load = Total Load.
After selection click Apply.
At the bottom of the screen you are then prompted to select concentrated load location.
Here you have two options:
1. Enter the distance in the field below and click enter.
2). Click on the truss to select the point load location.
The point load should now be added. You can then click done on the add concentrated load dialog to close the window.
