When designing a truss in iDesign you may find a situation where you need to stack a top or bottom chord on your truss. This can easily be archived if you right click on the piece you want to stack and select stack piece from the list.
This will open a menu where you can customize how the piece is stacked. In this example, I am stacking a 2X4 on the outside edge of the top chord. I’ve also chosen to place the piece within a selected area—specifically between my CAD lines.
After clicking OK, follow the prompts in the bottom-left corner of the screen to select the start point and end point of the stack. Once the piece is added, you can trim the ends as needed.
