If you need to lengthen a chase in iModel, you can do so using the Move Opening tool. Follow these steps:
- Select the Move Opening button in iModel.
- Right-click and choose Move a Line from the menu.
- Click to select the edge of the chase you want to move.
- After selecting the edge, press Enter.
- The prompt at the bottom of the screen will ask for the From and To points.
- You can type the desired distance directly into the prompt.
Example:
In the example shown, the chase originally measured 2'-0". By entering a new dimension at the prompt, the chase was stretched to 2'-6 13/16". This method allows for precise control when adjusting chase dimensions.
