In order to provide high-quality software, Alpine qualifies each version of IntelliVIEW against specific
versions of SQL Server. As detailed in the Windows and SQL Server Support Policy (published here:
Windows and SQL Server Support Policy on the AlpineITW.com website under Resources – Literature),
Alpine will support each version of SQL Server for ~3 years after Microsoft ends its mainstream support
of that version.
Microsoft ended mainstream support for SQL 2016 in July 2021, and as such Alpine will no longer
support SQL 2016 starting with the 24.02 IntelliVIEW release coming out in the fall of 2024.
If using SQL 2016, please make plans to update to a more recent version of SQL before updating to
IntelliVIEW 24.02. This will apply to future eShop releases as well.
