Question:
An error saying “Command failure for External Command; Revit could not complete the external command……….their identity” comes up while trying to use the Option tools. How can this be resolved?
Answer:
Assuming you have not been able to open the Vrez design option GUI either, you probably need to reconnect the builder file (Note that you must have the Design Options module activated)
To reconnect the builder file, go to the option administration button on ribbon

C:\ProgramData\AlpineITW\VisionREZ201X\Options
In the file explorer go to
