If a job number is manually entered or deleted it could result in your auto number mask sequence being off slightly. Follow these steps to adjust the next available auto number.
First, create a new job in iCommand by selecting the New icon, then click Save.
When the Job Number Selection window appears you will want to note what the next auto number will be and then click cancel on the dialog window.
You can then take a look at the Job explorer too see what number you would like to change the number to. In this example the last job number taken was Q-33570. So we would want to next job number to be Q-33571. When a new number job is created it is providing an auto number of Q-33574. The Auto Number is off by 3 digits.
To resolve go to Administration\Auto Number Masks:
Select the appropriate named auto number mask and then click on the Sequence Number.
Take a look at the Start Number field. Below it shows 33567.
Since the sequence is off by 3 you will want to subtract 3 from 33567 which equals 33564.
Type in 33564 and click OK.
Now when you create a new job you will get the Auto Number mask you were looking for:
And the auto number sequence is back in line:
