When the trusses in a job have already been analyzed and saved, the design load may be changed by modifying the loading criteria of the Job Settings using the following steps:
1). Go into iDesign and from the main toolbar menu select Settings and then Job Settings.
2). From the Job Setting dialog window select the Loading and/or Wind Loading tabs and make the required loading changes. Click OK.
3). You will then be prompted to overwrite a the existing load case with your changes or create a new load case. Select the appropriate option and then click OK to save and close the Job Settings dialog window.
4). Now you can select the trusses in the Truss List you want to reapply the new load to by highlighting only select trusses, or all of the trusses, using standard Windows® Shift and Ctrl key selection methods.
5). After your trusses are selected select analysis from the main toolbar menu. Then select Job Rerun Loading. All selected trusses are reanalyzed.
Notes:
User-applied Concentrated and/or Uniform loads are not modified by the Job Rerun Loading analysis.
In situations where only some of the trusses in the truss list are selected for Job Rerun Loading, it is important to recognize when selected trusses frame into a girder. Girder trusses MUST also be selected when the loading of the trusses framing to them is changed so the modified loading is considered for the girder analysis. If the girder is not selected, modified loading is NOT automatically applied. If selection of the girder is accidentally missed for the Job Rerun Loading process, it may be selected by itself and Job Rerun Loading used to pass the new loads to it, or the loading from the supported trusses may be manually applied and the girder manually rerun.
When no trusses are selected (i.e.highlighted) in the Truss List, only the active truss is analyzed by the Job Rerun Loading tool. If all of the trusses in the job must be reanalyzed, then all of the trusses must be selected.
