To add material to iSource from iCommand select Administration\Materials\Inventories. This will open iSource.
1). The first step is to make sure you have selected the INV that you would like to add material to.
At the top of iSource look for the Inventory drop down and select the lumber file you would like to use.
2). Then click on the Lumber tab.
3). Here you can organize your lumber by dragging up your column headers.
4). This is the lumber you currently have added. clicking on it shows more details to the right: Lengths, Cost, In Stock etc.
5). Next, from the bottom of the iSource window select Manage and the Master Lumber List will appear. This is where you will browse to select new lumber.
6). From the Master Lumber List you can organize your lumber by dragging up your column headers.
7). To browse for lumber make a selection in Species, Grade, Size and Option. If the size you need is not listed you can use the Define option to add the size you are looking for.
8). Next select the length you would like to add either by typing in one length or a range. Then select Generate Part Number and Add Range.
9). Material that has already been added will show in a gray text. Material that shows black had been added to your master list but has not been added to your INV.
10). To add material make sure you have the correct category selected at the bottom of the screen.
11). Now click on each lumber item, then click Apply. Each item should now be gray. Click OK to exit the Master list.
12). Now the lumber is added to you inventory. To finish setup find the New material from your list and select it.
13). Give your Lumber a price.
14). Make sure it is In Stock.
15). Select Usage.
16). Setup Column pricing if you use it.
17). The last step in to go into the Production Groups to set the order of precedence that you would like the material used.
Now re-launch iModel and the material you just added should be available.
