Question:
Assuming that all the roof/trim tools reside in any template file that is created from the ITW-Residential Template_1-8 Scale, correct? If so, is there a reason why I would need to map to the Master Template File? Maybe if I was starting a new project with a different template style not copied by the ITW Template?
- Yes, they can reside in any template file. The mapping is set up so that if the template he is working in, DOES NOT contain any of the necessary families, it will look in the ITW Template file. Otherwise, he will get an error that the tool cannot find a family.
- If the template one is working in DOES CONTAIN roof/trim families of their own; one can choose to ignore anything in the System Family Master file by checking the box:
