Automated Equipment
For automation to work equipment must have a set of limits for each axes of automation. Limits are entered by programming so axes can be moved and stopped within the limits of the axes physical limits. (Max Travel, Min Travel) Programming will set software limits for each axes of automation. These are slightly smaller limits than the actual physical limits. These limits allow the axes to move within physical limits and will not allow axes to move outside or beyond the physical limits. When axes do not home to the hard stop during homing (programming depends on axes to home all the way to their hard stop). If this does not happen the programming could allow movement outside axes physical limits. This may cause axes to crash into physical limits causing damage to equipment and cutting will not be accurate.
